We are so humbled by the support that we have received in these past weeks. The Igloolik Highschool has generously been working with us so that we can keep providing youth workshops and artistic training. We have raised almost $15,000 on our Go Fund Me, and we have received so many kind words and messages of support.
With this funding we have bought new instruments and amps to replace the musicians` personal items that were burnt in the fire, and we are taking time to develop the best plan for us and the community moving forward with the rest of the funds.

It`s with heavy hearts that we are sharing that our Black Box, our precious training, performing, and sharing arts and cultural space in Igloolik burned down yesterday, along with the essential community hub that was the Kipsigak Arena. Qujannamiimarialuk to all of the firefighters who risked their own safety to try and save our community spaces. If you are able, we have started a fundraiser (link in bio) to go towards supporting the musicians who lost their own equipment in the fire, as well as to put towards future rebuilding of our beautiful community space <3
We are excited to be presenting the premier of ᓇᑦᑎᐅᑉ ᐱᓯᙵ | Oran an Roin in Igloolik and Iqaluit this month!
Igloolik: Sept 7th / Iqaluit: Sep 13th
Both performances will be followed by a feast and hukki dancing, with a special performance by the Amittuq dancers in Iqaluit!

On the day in November that marks the departure of the sun for ten weeks – Artcirq will perform TAUVIGJUAQ (The Great Darkness) on the streets of Igloolik, a new work that represents traditional Inuit string games. Stay tuned for the video coming December 2020
